ASCA July Updates

Please review the updates from ASCA’s July Newsletter below.

  • ACSA continues its fight on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Together with coalition partners, it sent a plea to Congressional leadership just this week to make permanent the FET relief.
  • ACSA announced its joint Public Policy Conference with the Distilled Spirits Council. You can register for the September 15th and 16th free event and attend from the comfort of your home as it is VIRTUAL. Come learn and come advocate for our industry.
  • ACSA is holding the Craft Spirits Virtual Summit: A New Journey on August 11th and 12. Education, trade show, and networking opportunities abound. To find out more, go here. And, if your guild has staff separate from your DSPs, that employee can attend free of charge! Contact ACSA for a complimentary pass.
  • ACSA joined coalition partners to express concern to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) that retaliatory tariffs on U.S. and E.U. distilled spirits and wine are having a significant negative impact on our industries.
  • ACSA continues to monitor the state of DtC throughout the country, particularly in light of the pandemic and emergency actions. If legislation or executive orders include relief in this area, please share that news with ACSA.
  • ACSA is working with the National Governor’s Association to promote “Best Practices” in the area of DtC, demonstrating it is a viable solution to promoting public health and safety, maintaining a tax base, and allowing consumer choice.
